A Very VERY Merry Christmas

i can't believe it is christmas eve. as i look back to where we were last christmas it seems like it was just yesterday. and then i take a little look at where i hope we will be next year and my eyes get filled with tears. i am so ready for 2009 to start but i am so thankful for the blessing of 2008. this christmas brian and i are enjoying our last christmas as just the two of us. we have no fancy plans and will probably stay in on pjs all day long and that sounds absolutely wonderful.

it's been pretty slow these past couple of weeks with the adoption process with all the holidays so we are anxious to get that back up and running again. hopefully in january we can knock out our interviews and homestudys and get on that waiting list. i can't even begin to explain to you the excitement and confidence i have that this is exactly what God is calling us to do. he confirms it over and over again everyday. with our family so spread out from singapore to chicago to wherever else we never seem to do christmas on dec 25 which is fine by me. we tend to do christmas whenever someone is around. well this year one of our greatest gifts was someone who is a college student with no money but who loves the Lord unconditionally and completely believes in what we are doing. she decided that for christmas she would donate part of the money she made last semester to the "Baby" fund. WOW!!!!!! we are so blessed. i'm tearing up right now just thinking about it. and the amount doesn't matter but the it's the generous heart that she has and the blessing that she is to us that is the most precious gift of all. i wanted to share how much i love you, Chelsea, and that you are my very best friend (besides brian) and you will be the most amazing aunt any child could ever ask for. i pray that he will learn from you and be blessed by you and you have already blessed him.
